Trade Shows and Expositions
Society for Biomaterials, 2007 Annual Meeting & Exposition
Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers (Booth #412)
Chicago, April 19-20
This is our fifth year at the Biomaterials Exposition. We continue to learn of opportunities where supercritical fluid extraction can be applied to address unmet needs in the medical and biomedical components and materials industries. Generally, supercritical fluids excel at extracting residual monomers from medical and pharmaceutical polymers and purifying heat labile and monomers.
A specific opportunity we learned about in Orlando (02) was residual oil removal from a porous titanium part. In Reno (03): the removal of color bodies and trace organometallics from a surfactant used in a pharma formulation. We carried out the optimization, and the work has progressed to manufacture in our tolling plant. Another opportunity we learned in Memphis (05): the extraction of low molecular weight residuals from a polymer used in a medical device; we’re in advanced development with that one. In Pittsburgh (06), purification of polymers for controlled – release formulations was identified during discussion with an already existing client.
We'd love to have you visit our booth and describe a tough problem of yours. We'll tell you immediately if it's a candidate for a supercritical solution, and we'll offer you a no cost test to determine if supercritical fluids (and Phasex) can achieve the specifications you seek.
Bio International Convention 2007
Boston Convention and Exhibiting Center (Booth #1287)
Boston, May 6-9
After exhibiting at the Society for Biomaterials Exposition (for five years) and identifying opportunities for supercritical fluids to create improved materials for the medical / biomedical components industry, we’ve decided to exhibit at BIO 2007 for the first time. We’ll have specific examples of supercritical fluids in pharma / biopharma, biomedical components, and specialty materials applications.
We'd love to have you stop by our booth and discuss a potential opportunity with us. If you think supercritical fluids could solve some difficult separation or purification problem of yours, we’ll offer you a no cost test to try us out.
